Information, not legal advice

Sahvelo uses statutes, agency guidance, court materials, and official forms to explain general rules and procedures. Using Sahvelo does not create a lawyer-client relationship, and the guidance is not legal advice about your particular circumstances.

When a situation ordinarily requires professional help, Sahvelo should say so rather than extend general guidance beyond what it can support.

Sources and updates

Each substantive page links to the primary sources behind its guidance and shows when those sources were last reviewed. Laws, fees, forms, and agency procedures can change, so the linked official source controls if it conflicts with Sahvelo.

When Sahvelo cannot verify a detail against a primary source, the page says so. The absence of a rule in a source is not treated as permission.

Free to use, and how Sahvelo makes money

Sahvelo's core guidance is free and does not require an account. Your information is not sold, commercial relationships do not buy a higher ranking, and Sahvelo does not create guidance simply because a product can be attached to it.

Some pages may link to services that have a commercial relationship with Sahvelo. Sahvelo may earn a commission when you use an affiliate link or may be paid for a qualified introduction. When that applies, it is disclosed next to the recommendation, and the relationship does not determine what Sahvelo recommends. Every page carrying such a link must also say when you do not need the service and what the free or do-it-yourself alternative is.

Sahvelo publishes its commercial relationships and the categories it deliberately does not monetize on the How Sahvelo makes money page.

The guided tools do not require an account and do not store a personal profile. See the commercial-disclosure page for what is recorded when a commercial link is shown or clicked. What Sahvelo keeps about a person, and what it does not, is on the Privacy page.

Official links

Links to statutes, agencies, courts, and official forms open at the original source. Sahvelo does not control those sites or their availability.
